The idea of helping people, coaching or mentoring them to reach their goals and living the dream lifestyle of ‘the entrepreneur’; it all sounds SO fun, doesn’t it?
Who doesn’t want to use all their greatest skills, gifts and life lessons to help other people transform their lives, their businesses, their relationships and/or their health?
Then, reality sets into your life as a small business owner. It’s WAY harder than you think to attract the right clients, the people who can afford your services, who love what you do and the way you do it.
Money can be tight. Hell, sometimes it doesn’t come in at all.
You may have questioned the wisdom of giving up a corporate salary. You may be stuck in comparing yourself to other coaches or consultants who appear to be doing way better than you. You may be wondering if you’re actually cut out for entrepreneurship. Are you really as good as you originally thought?
Oh, and by the way… are you having any fun in the thick of all those thoughts and feelings?
I would like to make a public declaration:
It is time to BRING BACK THE FUN to your life and your business!
In 5 or 10 years time, when you finally have the clients, the financial freedom and the business you have been dreaming of… do you want to look back and see a wake of stress, burnout and unhealthy hustle?
And when you get ‘there’; you know, that utopia where you are successful and financially free, how do you know for sure that it will be fun? That it will be everything you dreamed it to be?
Success brings different challenges. Sometimes even bigger challenges. So, if you’re not having fun now, what makes you think it will be fun in the future?
Yes! I can hear you now with your big BUT. It’s so hard to have fun when you can’t really afford it. It’s hard to enjoy the process when you don’t know for sure that you are on the right track.
If there’s one thing that I’ve learnt, there is no magic formula for success. If you look out into the marketplace of coaches and consultants who are claiming that ‘their way’ is the THE way to success… that is correct; for them.
Sure, you might learn valuable skills or ideas or new self-awareness from those who have already ‘made it’.
However, as Bruce Lee says, “Absorb what is useful, discard what is not, add what is uniquely your own”.
That’s where the authenticity of what you do comes from. That is your point of attraction. That is where the fun stems from.
So, if you do an audit of your biz and your life; which parts do you love? What lights you up? What are you doing when you are having fun?
It’s time to bring as much of that as possible into your biz, into your life, into your communications and into your work.
That’s why we created the Global Coaches Collective. We know all too many coaches, consultants, mentors or trainers who are doing it ‘hard’ in their businesses. We have created a supportive, fun, yet professional environment for you to grow.
What’s one thing you can do today in your biz that is the epitome of FUN for you?
