There is not one coach, consultant, mentor or trainer on this planet who hasn’t worried, at some point, about the amount of money in their bank account, the number of clients (or shortage of clients) that they have or the lack of recognition, clicks or likes they are receiving for their content and offers.
So, if you do feel stuck in any of these challenges; please… take a deep breath. You are not alone. You are also doing the best you can with the knowledge and experience you have.
Breathe again! There is nothing wrong with you. You are a gifted, unique and experienced individual who is navigating the journey of entrepreneurship.

Yet, in saying all of that, it’s not okay to sit in worry, overwhelm or confusion. You are here to play a big game and impact thousands of lives. Worry, overwhelm and confusion are just symptoms that you don’t have the necessary support in your biz and you’re harbouring deep seated beliefs that are not supporting your success. That is not a vibe that is going to create the abundant money, clients and recognition that you want more than anything.
So, it’s time to put your big girl or boy pants on and do this instead:
1. What’s SO right with your life at the moment?
Write at least 10 aspects of your personal life that are really working for you right now. It doesn’t matter how big or small they are, just write them down!
2. What motivates you more than anything?
Let’s be real here. Everyone is motivated by love. However, what else gets you out of bed in the morning and really spins your wheels? When the chips are down, what keeps you going? Write at least 5 things that really drive you.
3. Why do you do what you do?
I love the work of Simon Sinek. Digging deep and getting clear on your ‘why’ is vitally important to connecting into your mojo and finally getting the results you want in your biz. Write at least 5 reasons why you do what you do.
4. What can you acknowledge yourself for in your biz?
You may not have the money, clients or recognition that you ultimately want in your coaching or consulting business. However, I know that all you really want to do is help people in your area of expertise. So, what can you acknowledge yourself for? Write at least 10 accomplishments that you can recognise yourself for in your biz.
5. What are your greatest gifts and skills?
Now, note down your top 10 greatest gifts and skills. What are you best at? What do other people acknowledge you for? What can you do without even thinking?
6. What qualifications and experience do you have?
Write a list of all of your qualifications and work experience to date. It doesn’t matter whether it’s relevant to your coaching or consulting business, what matters is that you have lived a full life and you have a lot of experience. Time to recognise this!
7. What has your life experience taught you?
Finally, what are the top 3 lessons you have learnt in your life that you can pay forward to the people you serve? What do you know as a result of what you’ve been through, that can truly help your clients in a profound and meaningful way?
Now, take another deep breath. Go back and read what you’ve written about your life, your accomplishments and your business. Take a moment to really sit with how gifted, unique and experienced you really are. Seriously!
The world needs you. Your future clients need you. Keep going, keep learning, keep refining. The only difference between success and failure is persistence!
